ROOFING PRODUCTS

NO UPSELLS, JUST ANSWERS

We specialize in metal roofs and shingles, and we have plenty of experience in both areas. We’ve seen how roofs stand up to the climates in southern Alberta and the Kootenays, and we make recommendations based on that knowledge. We’ve installed enough roofs to know which products are worth the money and which ones are above your needs.

For example, if you tell us you want a new roof on a property you’re renting out and you plan to sell it in five years, we likely won’t recommend that you buy the premium 50-year shingle. While it’s a great product, a standard 30-year shingle will be satisfactory for the next buyer. Having said this, the 50-year product will add resale value to your home so it’s still worth considering.

We’re not interested in upselling products— we want you to be happy with what you get and the value you received. When you ask us for advice, we’ll give you our professional opinion based on your property, your goals, and the climate you’re in.

CHOOSING YOUR ROOFING PRODUCT

SHINGLES

The most popular roofing material in Alberta, BC, and across Canada.

METAL ROOFING

A great, long-lasting roofing material for our climate.

FLAT ROOFING

Popular roofing options like tar & gravel and torch on roofs.

LIFETIME MATERIALS

We also install rubber roofs, composite roofs, shakes, tiles, and more.

If you’re still deciding on which type of roof you’d like on your home, let us know. We’d be happy to tell you the advantages and disadvantages of your options. Here at C&M Roofing, we install a lot of shingles and metal roofs, and are also competent working with flat roofing and other materials like tile, shakes, and composite. Having said this, the most popular roofing product in Alberta and BC (and in fact all of Canada) is shingles. They’re cost-efficient and they look great. If you’ve already decided on shingles, you still have options for which particular product you want. You get to choose the colour of your roof but more importantly you get to choose the lifespan of your shingles, which ranges from 20 to 50 years.

When it comes to metal roofs, we install a lot of them because they hold up well to the wind and last longer than other roof types on average. If you’re looking for an experienced team to install your metal roof, you’ve found one.

Metal roofs start at 50-year lifespans and go up from there. While they are more expensive, most of this cost comes from increased labour hours; but when you get an experienced company like us to install your metal roof, the price difference may be lower than you expect. We’re efficient because we know what we’re doing.

Or if you’re looking for something a little different, have a look through our Lifetime Materials page— you’ll see we also install rubber, composite, shakes, and tile roofs.
